INTERNATIONAL WOMEN’S DAY – 8TH MARCH 2025

On March 8, 2025, in celebration of International Women’s Day, the NSS unit of Coorg Institute of Dental Sciences organized the “Speaking Tree Oration Series”. The session focused on "Reflections on the Women's Movement and the Importance of Women's Day Celebrations." The esteemed resource person, Dr. Sulochana Narayan (Retired Principal, Besant Women's College, Mangalore), shared her insights on the historical and social significance of the women's movement. The event was attended by undergraduate students and provided a thought-provoking discussion on gender equality and empowerment. The program commenced at 10:00 AM and concluded at 11:30 AM, leaving the audience inspired and informed.

On the occasion of International Women's Day, March 8th, 2025, the NSS unit of Coorg Institute of Dental Sciences organized a special event for the non-teaching staff. The program commenced at 11:30 am near the Auditorium of the institute and saw the enthusiastic participation of around 100 non-teaching staff members. A series of fun-filled games, including Musical Chairs, Bomb in the City, and Balloon Bursting, were conducted, with prizes awarded to the winners in the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd positions. In a gesture of appreciation, three of the senior-most non-teaching staff members were honoured with tokens of gratitude for their unwavering dedication and hard work towards the institution. The event concluded at 2:00 PM, leaving everyone with a sense of joy and recognition.
