The 5th International Dental Students Symposium was held at the Faculty of Dentistry, UiTM, Malaysia on the 15th – 16th April 2015. The theme of this symposium was “Impelling the future through research and innovation”.
Dean Dr. Sunil Muddaiah, Prof. Dr. B.M. Shanthala and undergraduate students Divyashree and Monisha Uday from the Coorg Institute of Dental Sciences attended this symposium.
This event witnessed the signing of an MOU between Coorg Institute of Dental Sciences, India and UGM Indonesia with UiTM Malaysia.
The symposium had competitive comprehensive scientific programs with about more than 800 student participants from all over South East Asia.
Undergraduates from our Institution; Monisha Uday and Divyashree presented the papers on “Closed Loop revisited a removable appliance” and Evaluation of effectiveness of manipulation tools in digital radiography. A panoramic study”.
Dean, Dr. Sunil Muddaiah and Prof B.M Shanthala were invited as observers for Table Clinic competition, Video competition and Poster competition presentations. They also co-ordinated an interactive session with the Department of Orthodontics and Pedodontics of UiTM.
